I’m a South Jersey based outdoor photographer. It’s difficult for me to pinpoint exactly when I started photography. I’ve always taken the time to just stop, and take in the moment. Over the course of my life, I’ve often had a camera at some point like most people do. My first digital camera was a Fuji Film and that was just the start. In early 2011, I decided to go all out and make photography a real hobby, starting with the purchase on the Canon T3i. I would go out on the weekends, and give myself a goal or challenge. For example, I’d use only one lens at a certain focal length, like a 50mm. I’d take photos of a specific subject, or use one technique. I taught myself a lot this way and I think the constant trial and error (and there were so many errors!) was very beneficial.
In 2014 I stepped up to a Canon 6D and decided to take things head on. I began traveling more and getting into more photography adventures. I started understanding new techniques better, and I continue to learn new things. I truely enjoy this as a hobby, and plan on doing this for the rest of my life. It gives life more meaning, a tie to the past, and a sense of purpose. The enjoyable part of this is being able to share these captures with everyone, and interacting with you all. Thank you for taking the time to see these photos.
